Donelson Berger, general manager at Australian yellowtail kingfish producer Clean Seas, has taken on a new role with frozen seafood and sushi specialist Lotus Seafood, he told IntraFish.
Berger, who was with Clean Seas from September 2018 until last month, joined Lotus as senior vice president and chief sustainability officer.
in addition to CleanFish, Berger has previously worked at Seadex and Sea Lion International. Prior to that, Berger operated his own company, Berdex Seafood, in San Francisco.
Dave Mergle, who founded Grieg's Skuna Bay salmon brand and served as managing director for sales and logistics firm Ocean Quality, has been brought in to help market the product in the North American market.
