Grimsby-based Young's Seafood expanded its range with six new chilled products, including breaded scampi, breaded haddock and cod fillets, and seabass fillets, with its first rollout next week at retail giant Asda.

The lineup includes Chip Shop chilled beer battered cod fillets, as well as chilled haddock fillets at both Asda and Sainsbury's.

The overall chilled seafood category grew by 9 percent in the 52-weeks to Aug. 11, according to Kantar figures, driving Young's interest in growing its line in the category.

More chilled releases include whole tail scampi, three variations of seabass fillets with lemon and pepper butter, sundried tomato and garlic butter, and sweet chilli and ginger melt.
