Nueva Pescanova's US arm targets 50% sales hike by 2020

Targeting sales of $150 million in the country, the plan is to shift higher volumes into retail and foodservice.

Nueva Pescanova's US arm aims to increase sales 50 percent within the next two years with the distribution of three new value-added product lines to retailers, reports Expansion.

The company is launching the new lines Pescanova Seafood Tapas, Pescanova Snacks and Pescanova Classics into the market in 2018.

“The goal is to create products that adjust to the US consumer needs in convenience and health benefits,” said Richard Grant, CEO at Nueva Pescanova US.

The company laid out its plans to shift higher volumes to retail and foodservice channels over the coming years in its Strategic Plan 2017, as well as its goal to reach $150 million (€127.6 million) in sales by 2020.

Currently, 85 percent of Nueva Pescanova’s sales in the United States go to the wholesale market.
