UK trade body Seafish added an updated financial assessment calculator to its toolkit for the economic assessment of gear trials.
The original calculator was launched in late 2017 for fishermen to assess the financial viability of transitioning to new or modified gear.
The updated calculator is designed for a simpler and more user-friendly experience.
"The Economic Assessment of Gear Trials toolkit has been designed to help the fishing industry make better informed decisions about adopting more selective gear,"said Anna Witteveen, assistant economist and project lead at Seafish.
