Russian pollock producers are struggling with trade flow disruptions caused by the coronavirus, and have seen prices for H&G and roe take a tumble, despite a strong first season of harvesting.

Between January and February, Russian H&G pollock prices in China sank as plants shuttered from the spread of the virus across the Asian nation, President of Russia's Pollock Catcher Association (PCA) Alexey Buglak told IntraFish.

“Although Chinese processing plants restarted operations at the end of March, the spread of coronavirus infection in Europe and the US intensified the downward trend in pollock prices and led to their decrease by 20 to 25 percent from the beginning of the year."
