Magadan-based Pacific Fisheries Company (a structural unit of Sea Wolf Group) laid the keel of a new crab catching and processing vessel at Dalian shipyard in northeast China.
The new vessel, named Atka, will have an overall length of 56 meters, gross tonnage of 1,190 metric tons and main engine power of 1,470 kW.
The refrigeration unit will be able to freeze up to 30 metric tons of crab limbs per day, while two freezing cargo holds will provide storage capacity of up to 200 metric tons.
