A dispute over who holds the patents for the technology used on the krill fishing vessel Juvel, looks likely to end up in court, as neither side seems willing to back down.

Norwegian krill catching companies Rimfrost and Aker BioMarine are currently involved in a spat after the latter bought the former’s vessel Juvel at auction.

As part of the purchase, Aker BioMarine claims it also purchased the patents and intellectual property rights in connection with the purchase of the trawler, but Rimfrost said it still owns the patents, and that Aker Biomarine is giving out the wrong information.
