BOSANQUET BAY, a 21.8 metre prawn trawler, has been moulded by New Westcoaster Pty Ltd. of Henderson, Western Australia. This is a venture into trawling for the company best known for its New Westcoaster 72 longliner.
Her owners, Tony and Sylvia Holder of Peter Crombie Fisheries, wanted a rust-free trawler to operate in South Australia's Spencer's Gulf prawn fishery. Their new boat - which has a range of up to 8000 miles -- will work four-week trips between the Western Australia border and the base of the Gulf from her home port of Ceduna, South Australia.
