Norwegian investment firm Kverva -- owned by Norwegian billionaire and SalMar owner and CEO Gustav Witzoe -- has taken a 45 percent stake in German seafood trader FW Lubbert.

Bremerhaven-based Lubbert supplies fish to the German market, and has long-running relationships with several companies in Kverva's portfolio.

The sale and purchase agreement was signed at the end of 2020, but has only just now been made public.

Lubbert was founded in 1947 by Friedrich Wilhelm Lubbert.
