The family behind one of Norway's largest privately held salmon farmers, SinkabergHansen, is considering selling its shares.
Based in Rorvik, Norway, SinkabergHansen, which reported revenue of NOK 2.2 billion (€222 million/$234 million) in 2020, the most recently available figures, farms around 35,000 metric tons of salmon annually, making it a prized catch in the increasingly consolidating Norwegian industry.
SinkabergHansen Chairman Finn Haugan told IntraFish and its sister publication Dagens Naeringsliv that an extensive strategy process encouraged the group to explore whether new ownership could strengthen the group.
