Irish seafood processor Nolans Quality Seafoods on Wednesday announced it acquired Carr & Sons, an Ireland-based seafood processor.
“The businesses will complement each other in terms of product range and market coverage establishing the strongest seafood business in the Irish seafood sector,” Carr & Sons said in a statement.
The two companies are set to merge in March.
Carr & Sons, which was acquired by the Swedish company Mondi Group in 2014, produces and distributes a range of chilled pre-packed smoked, fresh and ready to eat seafood products for retail trade.
