Mowi’s Scottish division was the star of the show in the fourth quarter, with operating profit climbing 17 percent year-on-year.
Operational earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) reached €20.4 million ($24.6 million) in the quarter, a 17 percent increase over the same period last year.
EBIT per kilo in the region rose 26 percent to €1.57 ($1.90), the result of lower costs in both seawater and freshwater operations and improved fish health.
