Higher volumes and higher prices made for a 26 percent increase in Grieg Seafood Group's earnings in Q2 2017, hitting NOK 392 million (€42.2 million/$49.9 million).

Operating income was NOK 2.0 billion (€215.4 million/$254.4 million), up 21 percent on last year, while earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) per kilo was NOK 21.20 (€2.30/$2.70) in the period, up from NOK 19.20 (€2.10/$2.40) per kilo in Q2 2016.
