Chilean salmon farming group Blumar announced Tuesday it sold off a jointly held cold storage and primary processing operation to one of the world's largest cold storage and logistics operators.

Blumar and investment partner Galletue sold off its Frigorifico Pacifico cold storage operations to Emergent Cold Latin America, a subsidiary of cold storage giant Lineage Logistics.

The operation, located in the Bio Bio region in Southern Chile, is one of the largest cold stores serving the salmon farming sector, and also handles other produce including fruits and vegetables in the region.
