Benchmark Holdings appoints new CFO amid rough financials

Maguire comes on board in November.

London-listed aquaculture biotechnology company Benchmark appointed Septima Maguire as the group's CFO. She takes over the job in November.

Maguire, who will replace current Finance Director Mark Plampin, comes from the role of corporate development director for Dechra Pharmaceuticals, a specialist veterinary pharmaceutical company.

Maguire has also held roles at Ardagh Group, Impress Global, CHN Capital and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Benchmark lowered its full year profit forecasts on Aug. 12, a move that led to a steep decrease in share value on the LSE, slashing $80 million off the company's market capitalization.

Benchmark CEO Malcolm Pye told IntraFish that shortsighted planning was behind the revision on full year's expectations.
