A Saudi-based seabream and seabass hatchery operated by Dubai's Aqua Bridge is producing at commercial scale with a target to deliver 10 million juveniles by the end of this year, Aqua Bridge CEO Mohammad Tabish told IntraFish.

Aqua Bridge Farms is in negotiations with the local government to acquire more facilities with the goal of producing 30 million juveniles by 2023, Tabish said.

Aqua Bridge has already delivered five million juveniles to the local market.

With operations in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, Aqua Bridge provides the aquaculture and fisheries industries with farm hatchery and processing plant design assistance, equipment sourcing, hatchery live food systems, market research and regulatory permit assistance.

In 2018, the company had a turnover of AED 3.8 million ($1 million) and about 30 employees on board working in all its projects.
