This month saw unanimous praise for the devoted, long service the Shellfish Association of Great Britain (SAGB) has given its members since its formation as The Oyster Merchants and Planters Association in 1903.

Speaking at the Centenary Dinner in Fishmongers' Hall, London on May 20, Captain Philip Gibbon, who started farming oysters in Devon when he left the Royal Navy, endorsed these praises to 220 members and guests.
