Baja California-based Mexican striped bass producer Pacifico announced Tuesday it is expanding and adding direct sales and nationwide logistics capabilities to its in-house team as of May.

The hiring is part of a broader plan to build a regionally based US sales team and achieve nationwide distribution, Pacifico said. The company initially began scaling its operations following an investment from Los Angeles-based private equity firm Butterfly in 2017. Pacifico is bringing all logistics in-house rather than utilizing a third party as it continues to grow, it said.
