Norwegian service boat companies to merge

Norwegian service boat company Frøy group acquired Stava Sea.

The acquisition is part of Frøy Group's strategy to become a nationwide supplier of service vessels for the aquaculture industry.

Stava Sea, which has 17 employees, had sales in excess of NOK 35 million (€3.6 million/$4.1 million) in 2017.

Frøy Group covers northern Norway, Trøndelag, Møre og Romsdal, Sogn and Fjordane and Hordaland.

"With the acquisition of Stava Sea, we are well positioned to grow further in the coastal areas of Rogaland and further south,”said Frøy Vest General Manager Joar Gjerde.
