Norwegian company Sande Aqua inked a design agreement with recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) supplier Billund Aquaculture for a NOK 6 billion (€544 million/$638 million) land-based salmon facility after five years of discussions.

Sande Aqua has a license to produce 33,000 metric tons of fish at the facility planned for Skipavika Business Park in Norway. However, the farm can be expanded to 66,000 metric tons.
