The Infectious Salmon Anemia (ISA) virus has been detected in a Northern Harvest Sea Farm in southern Newfoundland, the Newfoundland and Labrador government confirmed to the CBC on Friday.
This is the third case of ISA found at Newfoundland aquaculture sites since October.
ISA was detected in farmed salmon at an aquaculture site in Spyglass Cove, on the south coast of the island. The site is owned and operated by New Brunswick-based company Northern Harvest Sea Farms.
