Today Huon Aquaculture launched the Southern Hemisphere’s largest feed barge, the Hogan.
The barge was designed and built to withstand rough, offshore conditions at Huon’s salmon lease in Storm Bay, off Tasmania’s Bruny Island.
Storm Bay has been home to Huon's offshore farm since 2014, but in October, the Tasmanian government created a new marine farming zone in the area, where Huon is applying for a new lease.
