The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) suspended the certification for Belize-based shrimp company Bel-Euro Aquaculture Farm earlier this month.

"Due to the adverse pathological events related to Early Mortality Syndrome, EMS, in 2015, the farm could not planed a surveillance audit on time. Client will start the certification process again," said the ASC.

The farm's certification was suspended on April 4.
