Chilean salmon farmer AquaChile’s salmon site in Magallanes has been certified by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC).

The “Brazo de Guardamiro” center is AquaChile’s first site in the region to be certified, the company said. In total, it now has 45 ASC certified sites in Chile.

"This certification is proof of the commitment of our company with sustainability in the long term, and is the result of teamwork across different areas," said Jose Manuel Schewerter, production manager at AquaChile.

“I want to highlight the dedication of the Magallanes team, who worked very hard for this.”
