French food sector R&D specialist FoodInnov Group is leading a drive to develop technology aimed at establishing an industry-wide standard for fish freshness that could ultimately help prolong seafood products’ shelf life.

Should the collaborative project be successful, the entire supply chain -- from suppliers to processors to fishmongers -- could benefit, Arnaud Orger-Turbin, scientific and R&D project manager at FoodInnov Group, told IntraFish.
