US-based foodservice distributor Sysco named India-based shrimp exporter Devi Seafoods as its seafood supplier of the year as part of its supplier excellence awards.
Sysco announced Devi the winner of its gold award Friday, saying Devi delivers on Sysco’s vision of being a customers’ most valued and trusted business partner.
The silver award went to Nippon Suisan Kaisha (Nissui) owned King & Prince Seafood. The bronze went to California-based Great American Seafood Imports Company.
The 2018 award recipients were selected based on sales growth and support, operational excellence and other key business performance metrics laid out by Sysco’s merchandising, quality assurance and supply chain departments.
