Maritech acquires majority share in Lillebakk

Maritech aims to expand the tools available for seafood companies globally in an increasingly digitized value chain.

Digital seafood software group Maritech Systems said it acquired Lillebakk Engineering, a company focused on Industrial internet of things (IoT).

Lillebakk Engineering, based in Molde, Norway, develops a broad range of products and decision-making tools, using modern instrumentation and sensor technology for data capture to provide key, real-time remote monitoring, efficiency control and process improvement of automated equipment and systems.

Maritech’s aim is to expand the tools available for seafood companies globally in an increasingly digitized value chain.

By connecting production sites, the company will offer a "digital seafood" solution to help reduce production costs and increase efficiency.

"Seafood companies can collect, aggregate, document and process data from single production sites to multi-site, complex environments," the company said.
