Albion to get new processing facility

The plant will be constructed off of British Columbia for fish, shellfish processing.

A new seafood processing plant that will house freezers, a filleting room and a shellfish processing room will be constructed in British Columbia for Albion Fisheries, reports the Haida Gwaii Observer.

The plant, which is slated to start construction in Queen Charlotte, on Haida Gwaii islands off the west coast of British Columbia, Canada, after the current fishing season winds down, will replace an old wooden plant.

Everything from the current plant will be moved to the new plant, said the Queen Charlotte Harbour Authority, funded by fishermen.
