Nasdaq: Norwegian farmed salmon prices up across the board

This comes after prices fell last week.

Norwegian salmon prices climbed 3.2 percent week-on-week, up NOK 1.97 (€0.22/$0.23) per kilo, according to Nasdaq.

Average prices during week 15 were NOK 64.46 (€7.06/$7.56) per kilo, or 2.8 percent higher than prices seen four weeks earlier. However, prices were still NOK 8.55 (€0.94/$1.00) or 11.8 percent less than 12 weeks ago.

The most popular sizes, with 32.3 percent of the market share, was the weight class 4-5 kg, which sold at an average NOK 64.69 (€7.09/$7.59) per kilo, up by NOK 1.83 (€0.20/$0.22) per kilo, or 1.6 percent from the previous week. 

Weight class 5-6 kg made up for 23.6 percent of the market share, and was sold at NOK 64.77 (€7.10/$7.60) per kilo in average, NOK 1.94 (€0.21/$0.23), or 1.7 percent above prices reported the week before.

Weight class 3-4 kg made up for 23 percent of the market share, and was sold at NOK 65.37 (€7.16/$7.67) per kilo in average, NOK 2.61 (€0.31/$0.29), or 1 percent above prices reported the week before.
