Canada's Sofina Foods, the parent of processing giants Young's Seafood in the United Kingdom and Greenland Seafood in Germany, has appointed a new director of procurement for its European business.
Former longtime Waitrose executive Andrew Allchurch will join Sofina Europe in the new role of director of European seafood procurement, the group confirmed to IntraFish.
Allchurch left Waitrose at the end of 2021 after serving nearly 14 years at the retailer in a number of senior roles, according to his LinkedIn profile.
