Seafish science advisory group (SAG) announced Friday its new committee, formed of seven members and presided over by Professor of Marine Conservation Ecology at Bangor University Michel Kaiser.

The group was established by Seafish to provide high-quality, independent scientific support, and to to ensure the UK seafood industry has access to the best possible scientific evidence.

Michel Kaiser will be joined by Andrew Rowley, professor of biosciences at Swansea University; Walter Crozier, independent member; Neil Auchterlonie, independent fisheries and aquaculture consultant; Bryce Stewart, marine biologist and lecturer in the Environment Department at University of York; Simon Jennings and Grant Stentiford, representing the Centre for Fisheries, Environment and Aquaculture Science; and Mike Elliott, director at the Institute of Estuarine and Coastal Studies and professor at University of Hull.
