The board of directors of Norwegian farmer SalMar appointed Trond Williksen its new CEO, replacing Leif Inge Nordhammer, who joined SalMar as its CEO for a second time in January 2014.
Williksen is joining the company from Akva Group, where served as CEO since 2011.
Nordhammer, who after serving as CEO during two periods that comprise a total of more than 17 years, "has asked to be relieved of his duties," the company said.
With nearly 30 years of experience from different positions in the fisheries and aquaculture industries, Williksen most recently led the listed company Akva through a period of strong growth.
