Russia's pollock harvest in the "A" season in the decreased slightly from last year, but the strength of the biomass and an increasingly strong value-add output is giving a big boost to the dector.

The overall pollock harvest decreased 1.9 percent through Apr. 30 to 884,410 metric tons compared to the same period last year, according to the latest figures from the Russian Pollock Catcher Association (PCA).
