Harvest volumes have been stable for Alaska Pacific cod this season, but pricing and harvest fish size are on the low side, according to some industry experts.

Lance Magnuson, managing director at Blue North Trading Co., the sales and marketing arm of cod harvester Blue North Fisheries, said currencies have continued to rock the international Pacific cod market.

"We've been on a fairly low level for pricing for the last few years because of weak foreign currency and a strong dollar," Magnuson told IntraFish.
