It has been an important year for German frozen food processor Frosta. After launching is own branded frozen fish line in August 2013 it has been making big strides in the market, showing strong growth year-on-year.

Overall, however, it was a difficult 12 months for the firm -- as for everyone involved in the German whitefish processing sector -- on the back of rising raw material prices, volatile currency fluctuations and the 'cannibalization' of the frozen fish segment by the booming chilled seafood sector.
