The MSC’s independent adjudicator, Micheal Lodge, said Friday he would extend the time period “for a response to the remand in this matter” to July 31.
Lodge had already extended the time period within which to provide comments on the response to the remand to July 17.
“Having considered the representations made by the objector, I have decided to extend the time for comments to 31 July 2013,” said Lodge.
On July 17, Intertek Moody Marine (IMM), the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) conformance assessment body for Russia's Sea of Okhotsk (SOO) pollock fishery, responded to the adjudicator's assessment made on June 19, which said it needed more work to reach the MSC standard for sustainable fisheries.
