The Fish Pool Index reported salmon size 3-6 kg in week 38 at NOK 39.52 (€4.28/$4.77) per kilo, which was a drop of NOK 1.09 (€0.12/$0.13), or 3 percent, from the week prior. Nasdaq prices showed a similar trend.
According to the SalmonEx index, an average trim D wholesale salmon prices from Chile into the US, slipped $0.02 (€0.02) to $3.52 (€3.20) per pound in week 38, continuing the trend of the past month.
The IntraFish Norwegian salmon price round-up showed a flat outlook for this week, but early forced harvesting due to high lice levels will push additional volumes on the market in coming weeks.
