SalmonChile director departs

Exec leaves to take on new projects.

SalmonChile’s Felipe Manterola resigned from his position as general director of the industry association for “strictly professional” reasons, SalmonChile said Wednesday.

Manterola will stay in his role until a new person has been appointed, and will then move on to pursue a new career path that requires his full availability, the note read.

“Felipe did a great job leading the SalmonChile team in very difficult moments for the sector,” said Felipe Sandoval, president of SalmonChile.

“We thank him for his dedication, which is reflected in important advances for the salmon farming sector in our country.”

Sandoval also highlighted Manterola’s implication in the creation of the Chilean Salmon Marketing Council, officially launched at the IntraFish Leadership Breakfast in Boston in March , and the campaign Salmon de Chile in Brazil.
