UK sushi manufacturer, Ichiban UK, recently earned recognition for environmental practices that help the company reduce its landfill waste and water and energy use.
Based in Suffolk, England, the privately-owned company is the UK’s largest producer of private-label and branded sushi, supplying some of the region's biggest retailers. In October, 2014, it launched its Yumie brand of packaged sushi.
We caught up with Andrew Wilkinson, managing director of the company, to get a better understanding of Ichiban’s business and how seafood fits into to its sales and marketing strategy.
