US scallop firm launches new product line

Line offers value added, oven-ready seafood items.

US-based vertically integrated scallop, clamming and fishing vessel operator Atlantic Capes Fisheries said Friday it launched a new product line: Galilean’s Kitchen brand value added, oven-ready seafood items.

The items are sold “upscale retail boxes for the supermarket freezer, take and bake packs, entrée packs and bulk packs for the seafood fresh case, and bulk packs for foodservice distributors,” said the company.

Chef Kieran Smith created the recipes, which range from Bacon Wrapped Scallop Skewers to Southwestern Crab Empanadas.

The new products uses seafood sourced from the North Atlantic.
