Young's launches Chip Shop range for foodservice

Products include cod, haddock and Alaska pollock fillets.

Grimbsy-headquartered Young's Seafood is launching a new Chip Shop range under Young's Foodservice, the company announced Wednesday.

This range includes the 125g portions of easy-to-prepare Chip Shop Medium Battered White Fish Fillets; as well as skinless and boneless Alaska pollock fillets coated in a Chip Shop style batter.

The fillets can be deep fried straight from the freezer in just 7 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

Young's' range also includes a selection of other cod and haddock fillets in small, medium and large.

“We wanted to offer operators a quick and easy to prepare choice of authentic tasting, chip shop style fillets and with our Chip Shop range we feel confident that we have achieved this," said Adrian Greaves, foodservice director at Young’s Foodservice.

"Our Chip Shop retail range of products is already a huge hit with consumers and an established leading brand in frozen," he said. "We wanted to give foodservice operators the chance to offer a similar taste experience within their own establishments.”

Young’s Chip Shop Jumbo Battered Fish Fingers are also included in the range.

The battered fillets are available in case sizes of 24, Young’s Chip Shop Jumbo Battered Cod Fish Fingers are available in case sizes of 36 x 70g.
