HB Grandi expects delivery of three new trawlers

Turkish shipyard back to work after Ramadan.

Workers at the Celiktrans shipyard in Turkey are resuming activities after Ramadan, and Icelandic fishing giant HB Grandi expects the yard to deliver its first new trawler Engey by the end of the year.

In addition, trawlers Akureyiar and Vioey RE, also under construction at the Turkish shipyard, will be delivered in the spring and fall of 2017, respectively.

The three trawlers are 54.75 meters long and have a 13.5-meter beam, they will be fitted with a main engine MAN 6L27 / 38 and power system reaching  1,790 kW at 800 rpm.

The machines will be equipped with emission control devices of the type SCR Catalysator.
