APICDA hires new COO, CFO

The non-profit brings on a banker and promotes the director of operations.

Aleutian Pribilof Island Community Development Association (APICDA) is making a few changes at the top, hiring a new COO and CFO, the non-profit announced Monday.

Grant Mirick, who has been at the helm of APICDA's seafood operations for just more than a year, is the new chief operating officer, while former banker Luke Fanning is now the CFO.

Mirick will continue to lead the seafood operations.

“We are very happy to have such a strong and solid leadership team in place," said APICDA CEO Larry Cotter. "Grant has played a vital role in strengthening our processing operations in Alaska and Kent, Washington.

"His industry experience, business acumen, and steady management style will continue to benefit APICDA and the communities we serve as we move forward and implement our strategic goals. [And] Luke brings a solid background in banking and finance. The CFO is a key position; Luke has the training, strong track record and good judgment necessary to help APICDA excel.”
