IntraFish to host Excellence in Aquaculture Awards

Fish farm managers and colleagues sign up and nominate for Barcelona event.

The role of a farm manager “...  is such a key position in aquaculture companies and requires such a delicate combination of science, management, instinct, experience and creative thinking,” said Lara Barazi-Yeroulanos, CEO of Kefalonia Fisheries, a firm supporter of the inaugural IntraFish Media Excellence in Aquaculture Awards 2012.

“Networking, sharing professional experiences and recognizing outstanding achievements” is what the Barcelona event, to be held on the Sept. 7, is all about, said Daniel Rich, project manager, from IntraFish Media’s London office. 

Nominations and confirming attendance can be made via this website.  “At the moment we are encouraging nominations for Farm Managers and discussing attendance with the world’s aquaculture companies” Rich said.  “I am very excited by the feedback we have had so far, it seems that Aquaculture Farm Management professionals are keen to meet, network and be recognized at a truly international forum.”

The event will be held at the Eurostars Grand Marina Hotel, central to the busy Port of Barcelona.
