Earlier this month, German media reported Nomad Foods-owned Iglo Germany cut its ties with retailer Kaufland -- which means no more branded fish fingers at the retailer's nationwide 640 stores.

I went down to one of the stores in Berlin this week, and indeed -- no more Iglo fish fingers. Instead, all that could be found were K-Classic frozen fish -- Kaufland's private label brand -- and some assorted Frosta items.

When I asked Iglo about the change, a spokesperson told me tactfully they “could not agree on the strategic direction of their future collaboration.”
