PROBAC Marine has been shown to protect marine fish against Vibrio anguillarum, Aeromonas salmonicida and Yersinia ruckeri, claims manufacturer Probiotic Solutions Ltd of Canada.
The company explains that Probac Marine can be added to rearing water of fish and live feeds as a water conditioner, or to artificial feeds as a feed supplement and to reduce the numbers of pathogenic bacteria to beneficially affect fish intestinal microbial balance.
