Former Marine Harvest exec named CEO of land-based salmon group
Current CEO will shift focus to Atlantic Sapphire's Miami operations.
Atlantic Sapphire-controlled salmon producer Atlantic Sapphire Denmark, formerly Langsand Laks, on Tuesday announced a new chief executive would take over operations at the Danish the group.
Ole Christian Nordvik, a former executive with Marine Harvest and Norway Royal Salmon, will take over as CEO of the Danish operations from Jon-Birger Løvik, who will focus more on Atlantic Sapphire's growing land-based operations in Miami, Florida.
Hvide Sande-based Atlantic Sapphire Denmark is currently the world's largest land-based salmon producer, with annual production capacity of around 2,200 metric tons.
