Australian aquaculture to hit $1.6 billion in a decade

This is the aim of the government's national aquaculture strategy.

Australia’s aquaculture industry is predicted to double its value to AUD 2 billion ($1.6 billion/€1.3 billion) in the next 10 years, reports Dynamic Export.

This the aim of the Federal Government’s National Aquaculture Strategy unveiled at the Seafood Directions 2017 conference in Sydney earlier this week.

Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources Anne Ruston said the strategy outlined a sustainable pathway to industry growth in response to increasing demand for safe, clean and green Australian seafood.
