Tassal accused of hiding fish deaths

Deaths allegedly date back to 2014/15.

Environmentalists are accusing Tasmania's biggest salmon producer Tassal of potentially covering up a major fish kill in Macquarie Harbour, reports ABC News.

Environment Tasmania and the Greens have called on the company to be transparent about the number of fish killed in one its leases during the summer of 2014/2015.

Right to information documents released to ABC allegedly showed Tassal failed to report a rise in fish deaths to the state government within the required time frame under its license.
