Scholars unite to form aquaculture research center

Program aims to push aquaculture research through connecting universities.

Auburn University and Ocean University of China marked their new partnership Wednesday with plans to build the OUC-AU Joint Center for Aquaculture and Environmental Sciences, which will focus on aquaculture and environmental science research by connecting universities, according to Oanow.

The center will offer college students research opportunities, data for faculty research through the OUC-AU grants program, and OUC and Auburn scientists for aquaculture and environmental sciences research.

The first round of projects begin in the upcoming weeks and so far the program chose eight research proposals, according to the news site.
